  Fresh assault charge for man accused of hitting stranger in Frankston Ryan Wells, the man charged with an unprovoked assault on a man he passed in the street, has been charged over another alleged assault. Mr Wells, 32, was charged after police released CCTV footage of a man punching a passerby in the face as he and two others walked along a Nepean Highway footpath in Frankston on July 26.The footage showed Mr Wells and his two companions – one his brother Joel – walk on after the punch was thrown and smiling and laughing, as the 43-year-old man who was punched fell to the ground.A magistrate’s decision to grant Mr Wells bail last week caused outrage among sections of the community.

A photographer has accused Bill Murray of assault.

Peter Simon told the Boston Globe he was on an assignment on August 8 when the Ghostbusters star spotted him.

Murray allegedly accosted the photographer, slamming him into a door and pouring water on his head, as well levelling threats at the man and swearing.

Mr Simon said he wasn't there to take pictures of Murray and was instead working with local band the Marotta Brothers.

He told the Martha's Vineyard Times he didn't notice the actor when he arrived or recognise him before the altercation.

But according to the police report Murray was "visibly upset" and said Mr Simon was harassing him.

Nobody was charged or injured in relation to the incident. Local police have advised Mr Simon he can make a criminal complaint if he would like.

Murray is yet to comment publicly on the matter.

The incident, which took place last month, saw a man taken to hospital for treatment to a gash above his eye.The incident took place on Saturday, July 28, as two men waited at a pedestrian crossing on the corner of Newcastle and William streets.
