Paypal's integration of cryptocurrencies was apparently just the beginning of an entry into the crypto world. As has learned from Bloomberg , PayPal is interested in taking over crypto companies. Concretely, talks with the Bitcoin administrator Bitgo are to take place.

On Wednesday, PayPal first announced that it would accept Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Ethereum as payment methods . That had given both PayPal stocks and Bitcoin price a boost.

The takeover of the Bitgo platform shows that PayPal has even bigger plans. The deal could be closed in weeks, reports Bloomberg.

A sum was not mentioned, but Bitgo earned 58.5 million dollars in 2018 with a valuation of 170 million dollars.

Neither Paypal nor Bitgo have commented on the reports.
