The trigger for the latest trial was Sarrazin's 2018 published. The SPD leadership accuses Sarrazin of damaging the party's reputation with racist and Islamophobic theses. The commission at the district level had previously seen it that way. Sarrazin had appealed after both decisions - now the highest internal party has decided.
VIDEO Les Z'amours: Bruno Guillon intervenes between a couple to protect a candidate from his wife
Bruno Guillon flies to the aid of a candidate Worried about Cassandre's angry temper, Bruno Guillon did not hide his anguish when he had to ask Christopher a question, who was amused to see him look at him " with pity" . Fearing that his foal would give a wrong answer, , the host of Fun Radio , therefore decided to sit on the chair between the two lovebirds, in order to avoid any physical contact . "No, but I am afraid! I am afraid that I will be accused of not assisting anyone in danger .
Inconsistent with values of the SPD
Sarrazin’s statements and demands in the book are so different from the principles and basic values of social democracy that the permanent separation from the party member is necessary, the Federal Arbitration Commission decided. Sarrazin's views are "embedded in a line of degrading people, especially Muslims," it said. If Sarrazin remained a member of the SPD, one could get the impression that the SPD offered space in the right-wing populist spectrum.
Sarrazin could now go to a proper court, but according to the SPD, it would have to prove that there were procedural errors at the arbitral tribunal. Sarrazin had recently announced that he would go to the Federal Constitutional Court if necessary."Not a fair trial"
Sarrazin's statement was not long in coming: Friday, after the decision of the arbitral tribunal, the ex-politician stated that he would wait for the written justification of the judgment and then appeal to the Berlin Regional Court. "In my view, the decision was already made before the hearing," said the 75-year-old. "This was not an open, honest and fair process". Sarrazin added: "If you are insulted by someone and are morally disqualified as a racist and right-wing populist, then you have no choice but to defend your reputation. I will."
The Federal Arbitration Commission of the SPD is a body that independently decides on internal party disputes. Thorsten Jobs, a judge at the Higher Administrative Court in Potsdam, chaired the trial in the Berlin SPD party headquarters. The legal hurdles for a party exclusion are high so that the instrument cannot be misused to suppress criticism.
