The judges scored Tszyu the winner by unanimous points decision at The Star, scoring the bout 99-91, 98-92 and 99-91 in the Sydney boxer's favour.

"Whatever Australia wants, I'm here. I'm the Aus champ now. There's a name everyone wants - Jeff Horn," Tszyu, 20, said in the ring.

"Mr Teacher, I'd love to fight ya, but you've got my manager's number. You call me when you're ready."

Horn immediately laughed off the challenge.

"It's pretty funny," the former WBO welterweight champion said.

"I don't think [he's ready]. Not yet. He's got another couple of fights to prove [himself]."

"Tim is slick - a very smart fighter," Camilleri said of Tszyu.

Camilleri (17-6-1, 8 KOs) proved an awkward opponent for Tszyu, with the challenger struggling to find his rhythm in the early rounds. Tszyu was cut above his left eye in the second round but the blood didn't seem to bother him too much and Camilleri wasn't able to land enough clean shots in the bout to make the wound worse.

As Camilleri tired, and at times left himself open to the counter after his trademark overhand rights, Tszyu adjusted and was soon getting the better of the smiling Victorian.

"All my respect to Joel, he's a tough man," Tszyu said.

"It's a learning curve for me. I've learned more in this fight than in my whole career.

"He was tough. I expected to catch him a bit earlier but I couldn't get the shot. He's slick, he's awkward.

"But I dug deep. I went ten rounds, and I feel good. I could go another 12."
