Tim Mannah has sensationally backflipped a week after committing to the Tigers, remaining loyal to his beloved Eels in a bid to become a one-club player.

Mannah shocked the rugby league world when it became knowledge he was expected to trade clubs before the June 30 deadline, searching for a better opportunity after spending the last few weeks in reserve grade.

However, the Eels fan favourite said in a club statement that his heart remains with the blue and gold.

Tim Mannah has been a great servant of the Parramatta Eels and will be sorely missed. Additionally, Tim will always mean something special to the Parramatta Eels given that his brother I would describe Tim as selfless, kind, loyal and dedicated. They are the qualities which made him an

“I am very happy to be staying at the Eels,” Mannah said. “I am a Parramatta Eels junior and I love our club.

“My total commitment is to helping our club be successful. I appreciate the support from our wonderful members and fans.”

The deal with the Tigers looked to be set in stone after coach Michael Maguire spoke publicly about his excitement for Mannah's impending arrival at Concord.

"I think everyone knows what he can bring," Maguire said. "He's got good go-forward; he's a good person; a good leader… a lot of those things you want to build in your team.

"The experiences he can bring for the younger ones coming through is invaluable. I've got a few young forwards there who probably aren't ready for first grade. So they'd require someone like a Timmy to come in and really help out.''

But uncertainty began to surround the mooted move over the weekend with a recent falling out with manager Isaac Moses impacting his decision.

Picturing Mannah in different colours is hard for any NRL fan to imagine after 11 years of loyal service since he debuted in Parramatta's grand final season in 2009.

Mannah is the club captain, while fullback Clint Gutherson fulfills the on-field duties.

Mannah is unavailable for Lebanon's Test against Fiji this weekend but is hopeful of returning to first grade next week.

Moose remained patiently by his owner’s hospital bed, waiting for his ‘dad’ to return. But his ‘dad’ wouldn’t be coming back: he had passed away. Since his owner’s death, Moose, the three-year-old Labrador cross, is temporarily being cared for by the Eleventh Hour Rescue Kennel in Randolph, New Jersey. According to his carers, Moose is taking the death of his owner “pretty hard”. © NorthStar Pet Rescue Moose waits by his dead owner's hospital bed In a bid to find the loyal dog a new family, NorthStar Pet Rescue posted on Facebook about Moose’s sad situation, accompanied by a photo of him waiting beside the empty bed.
