Blake Ferguson has repeated his post-Origin claims he didn't hear the sledge from Queensland bad boy Josh McGuire that sparked an altercation in the ANZ Stadium tunnel.

McGuire has been accused of firing an ‘inappropriate’ sledge Ferguson’s way at the end of the first half, triggering a heated verbal exchange between the pair as the teams left the field.

Blues prop David Klemmer came to Ferguson’s assistance and subsequently had to be separated from McGuire, according to multiple reports.

It is also understood Ferguson told McGuire at full-time of the Blues’ 26-20 victory, ‘I’ll drop ya’ if he ever repeats the sledge.

Ferguson, who threw the final pass to James Tedesco to score the match-winning try in the 80th-minute on Wednesday, refused to reveal what was said when interviewed in the NSW dressing room after the game.

Klemmer has also remained tight-lipped.

However, the stoush remains a hot talking point and the Parramatta star was again forced to answer questions about the incident after the Eels’ 30-18 victory over the Wests Tigers in Benji Marshall’s 300th game on Sunday.

But Ferguson, who was named in Mal Meninga’s Kangaroos Origin merit team alongside McGuire and Klemmer on Sunday, insists he doesn’t know what the Maroons enforcer said to spark the incident.

“I honestly didn’t hear it,” Ferguson told Triple M on Sunday.

“You know what, you know there’s 83,000 people there, I just didn’t hear it.

Comment: The Maroons had the passion but not the cattle

Comment: The Maroons had the passion but not the cattle The Maroons were valiant right to the end. They dug as deep as any Queensland side I’ve ever seen. But they just didn’t have enough high-calibre players to prevail. Conversely, while the Blues never truly looked like a cohesive, well-organised or focused side, they had James Tedesco making and taking every opportunity. They had Damien Cook weaving his magic when it mattered. League They had Blake Ferguson making no errors and playing brilliantly in attack.

300-gamer Farah drops stinging sledge on Taylor.
Wests Tigers hero Robbie Farah has dropped the hammer on NRL nemesis Jason Taylor ahead of his 300th game. Farah will reach the milestone for his beloved Wests Tigers against Newcastle on Friday. That's despite being forced out of the club by Taylor in 2016. The former NSW hooker returned to the Tigers via the Rabbitohs and will join an exclusive club of 300-gamers, something that Taylor (276) didn't quite manage. Taylor was sacked as Tigers coach in 2017 and hasn't had an NRL head coaching job since, a fact not lost on Farah.
