Manly have retained one of their emerging talents from their strong 2019 season, re-signing centre Brad Parker for a further two years with the club.

The extension was signed last week, and confirmed by Parker on Monday in the build-up to his side's elimination final against Cronulla, according to NRL.com.

Parker is a local junior who rose through the ranks of the club via the Sea Eagles' NYC team, before debuting in 2016.

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles centre Brad Parker showed his toughness by playing with a broken jaw in last night’s match at Lottoland. Despite the obvious pain and discomfort, Parker played strongly against the Gold Coast Titans, scoring a try. His courage was not lost on his team-mates or Coach

The 22-year-old has been a mainstay in Des Hasler's side and played a crucial part in Manly's drastic turnaround this season under their premiership-winning coach.

“It’s pretty special signing a new contract with Manly. I’m really happy about it and I can really focus on finals footy without any extra things to worry about,” Parker said on Monday.

“I think my football has definitely gone up a level this year. The only thing has been disappointing injuries. I’d like a year of playing every game, or going close to playing each match,” he said of a broken jaw, knee and now concussion concerns. He has missed a total of seven games this year.

“I had a couple of other clubs interested but Manly feels right for me – just looking this year at my footy under Des [Hasler] says it all really.

Will Chambers' attacker goes into hiding as Manly players respond Trbojevic wants a harsh punishment handed down as a strong signal to all fans. “He definitely should be banned. You can’t be lashing out at players. No way at all,” he said. “As a Manly player, it’s disappointing to see someone do that to the opposition team. “That’s a big no-go. “They got rid of the bloke pretty quickly (and) it’s no fault on Manly, but as a club we don’t want to see that.” Prop Marty Taupau stopped short of calling for a life ban, saying he would leave those decisions for the game’s administrators. But he was clearly angered over the incident.

Confirmed NRL player transfers and signed contracts for the Telstra Premiership. The Bowen Seagulls junior has been one of the standout forwards in the Intrust Super Cup in 2019 , averaging 160 running metres and 22 tackles across 15 appearances for the Townsville Blackhawks.

THE Manly Sea Eagles have reportedly found their replacement for Trent Barrett in a move that will see a favourite son return. Hasler led Manly to their last two NRL premierships in 2011 and 2008. Des Hasler signed , sealed and delivered for his second stint as @ SeaEagles Head Coach.

“I’m really happy with my performance this year, and of course the year isn’t finished for us.”

In his 17 games this year for the Sea Eagles, Parker has scored three tries and averaged 75 run metres, and epitomised Hasler's defensive philosophies which have helped Manly transform into one of the toughest sides in the competition.
