The bout was scheduled to go eight rounds but the Carlton star barely needed two after connecting with a quick flurry of counter punches to drop Butcher moments into the second.

The Muay Thai fighter was given a standing count and then threw some bombs of her own but was no match for Harris' clinical hand speed and accuracy, with the AFLW star finishing the job off seconds later with another knockdown which forced the referee to end the fight.

Butcher was fighting Harris for the third time for three losses in what has been her only three professional boxing fights so far.

She's more versed in kickboxing with 16 fights to her name and was on a six-fight winning streak in that discipline, racking up 10 careers wins.

Harris, 22, came into the fight ranked seventh in the World Boxing Association's female middleweight division and gave a blunt response when asked about her thoughts leading into the bout.

"I wanted to make a statement," she said in the post-fight interview.
