It will be Namibia's first appearance at the T20 World Cup and their first World Cup appearance of any kind since the 2003 one-day edition.

They lost their first two matches of the qualifiers, including an 81-run loss to Papua New Guinea.

However they turned their tournament around, winning their five next matches including the win over Oman that locked in their place for the 2020 World Cup.

All-rounder JJ Smit was the star against Oman, hitting a quickfire 59 off 25 balls in their crucial victory.

The Netherlands secured their victory after destroying the United Arab Emirates in an eight-wicket win.

Namibia, Netherlands and Papua New Guinea will now enter the 'first-round' of the T20 World Cup in Australia next October.

The first-round will see two groups of four teams play a round-robin tournament across one week.

The top two teams from each group will then enter the Super 12 stage, where Australia has already qualified.

The first-round features Sri Lanka and Bangladesh who will have their work cut out for them to defeat these teams riding on the back of a massive wave of momentum.

The final two spots in the first-round will be decided between Scotland, UAE, Oman and Hong Kong.
