The centre has signed a four deal to play for Cronulla and will resume training with the club next week after a family holiday according to News Corp. The club is said to be keen on announcing the signing once Ramien is back from holidays.

The 22-year-old was rated as one of the rising stars of the competition, earning himself a spot in the Junior Kangaroos and the NSW under-20s.

There were hopes that the star could develop into a representative player while at Newcastle, but Ramien never reached his potential at the club and left the Knights after reportedly falling out with former coach Nathan Brown.

Newly appointed Newcastle coach Adam O'Brien has all but given up on luring Ramien back to the club.

Canterbury also moved on from the bidding process, leaving Cronulla as the lone team to acquire his services.

Liberals' lawyers say Chinese-language election signs could have been better marked as party content .
Lawyers for the Victorian Liberal Party admit Chinese-language election signs used in May's federal election could have been better marked as Liberal material, but they reject claims Chinese-speaking voters were misled. The signs are at the centre of a court challenge that aims to void the election results in Kooyong, where Treasurer Josh Frydenberg was re-elected, and in Chisholm, where Gladys Liu became the first female Chinese-Australian federal MP.The case has been brought to court by independent candidate for Kooyong Oliver Yates, and a voter in Chisholm, Vanessa Garbett, who say voters were deceived and misled.
