"I don't think he has any choice," Els said ahead of Woods' official naming of his four captain's picks for the December 9-12 showdown at Royal Melbourne.

"He's in form, he's Masters champion and he's played in so many matches.

"This is our generation's best player by quite a distance, and people want to see him play. He's done things other people haven't done on the golf course."

Why is there no 'First Dog' in the White House — and what does this say about Donald Trump?

Why is there no 'First Dog' in the White House — and what does this say about Donald Trump? Donald Trump is the first US leader in 118 years not to own a dog — but his lauding of Conan the military canine has drawn attention to the White House's quirky history with resident pets. So why does Mr Trump not have or want a FDOTUS? And how does his dogless administration fit in with the odd lineage of peculiar pets that have stood beside many of America's historic leaders? Why is there no FDOTUS?Mr Trump addressed this issue directly at a rally in El Paso earlier this year, saying he "wouldn't mind having" a dog but that he didn't have the time — and besides, he thought it would look "a little phony".

In his latest remarkable return from injury, Woods 12 days ago added the Zozo Championship to the 15th major he landed at Augusta National in April to regain his place in the world's top 10.

Even he admitted his win in Japan had "caught the captain's attention", leaving the powerhouse US team set to field seven of the world's top 10 against the International underdogs.

Little wonder Els has called on the four Australians in his 12-man outfit - Adam Scott, Jason Day, Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith - to lead the way for the youngest International team in the Presidents Cup's 25-year-history.

Smith is one of six Cup rookies on an International line-up with an average age of 29.

"The Aussies on the team are going to play a big part now," Els said.

"Some of the players want to get there a lot earlier, and we encourage that also, and a lot of the guys are going to play the Australian Open, which I have been asking for."

All four Australians in the International side, along with Els, reigning champion Abraham Ancer and Louis Oosthuizen will fine-tine their games the week before the Presidents Cup at the Australian Open in Sydney.

WeWork dropped the best idea it had: So, will anyone pick it up? .
WeWork's initial pitch, alongside shared office space, was centralising often-required services and offering them to tenants for a flat fee.On top of this, they all have to deal with the same set of standardised issues: managing a P&L sheet, sorting payroll, staying on top of their sales activities. And for many of them, they are facing these issues for the first time.
