Australia's draw for the 2020 Davis Cup has been revealed, although the revamped format is already under pressure after a lacklustre first year concluded this morning.
More than a century of tradition was cast aside for 2019, with 18 nations taking part in the week-long finals in Spain, after the ITF signed over the management of the tournament to the company run by Spanish soccer star, Gerard Pique.
The event culminated with Spain defeating Canada in the final, to claim the Davis Cup for the sixth time, with Rafael Nadal and Roberto Bautista Agut winning their singles matches to put Spain 2-0 up. But the success of the host nation may have been the only factor that saved the tournament from being a complete disaster.

"The tennis itself has been brilliant, the organisation has been abysmal," Woodbridge said on Sports Sunday.
"Everything from IT issues, to playing matches that finish at 4am.
"And then today the ITF go, 'Well we're going to put in more wild cards.'
"They've given wildcards this week, for 12 months' time. You've got to ask the question, how can you do that?

"I hope people realise that Davis Cup is more than just money and all that like they are offering us now. It's history, and it's tennis history. It's more than just what's on the table for the players now."
