The South Sydney Rabbitohs have reportedly tabled a multi-year offer to Jai Arrow in an aggressive bid to lure the Gold Coast Titans star to Redfern as Sam Burgess’ long-term replacement.

As reported last week, coach Wayne Bennett is desperate to add a middle forward to his squad following Burgess’ shock retirement last month.

Arrow, who comes off contract at the end of 2020, has been linked with multiple NRL clubs since the Titans reluctantly granted him permission to negotiate with rival clubs in August.

Arrow’s potential move to South Sydney would also reunite him with Bennett, who handed him his NRL debut with the Brisbane Broncos in 2016.

He played 24 first-grade games in two seasons at Red Hill before signing a three-year deal with the Titans in 2018 – the same year he made his Origin debut for the Maroons.
