Cricket Victoria released a statement to announce that Finch would be subbed out of the game to be replaced by Travis Dean.
"Finch was struck on the helmet while fielding at short leg during the first session on day two," the statement read.
"He was assessed on the ground immediately after the incident and was cleared to continue fielding, but experienced delayed concussion symptoms during the lunch break.
"Travis Dean will replace Finch for the remainder of the game."

According to cricket.com.au, Dean was batting for his club side Footscray in Melbourne's north when he was told to retire his innings as he had been called in to replace Finch.
