Tim Tszyu vs Jack Brubaker: Tszyu's ominous warning for Brubaker
"Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face."One of the most exciting fighters in the country, Brubaker has been active on social media and in interviews in taking jabs at Tszyu as their fight approaches.
Tim Tszyu denies claims that Jack Brubaker has gained a mental edge ahead of the junior middleweight fight on Friday night, and says Brubaker is a " clown living "If someone's standing there in front of ya and they take a step back , it definitely puts a little feather in your cap," Brubaker told
Tszyu became world champion by knocking Rodriguez out in the sixth round. On 6 November, he and Mitchell finally had their rematch, with Tszyu knocking Mitchell out once again, this time in three rounds.
For Tim Tszyu, facing Jack Brubaker isn't just another bout. It's a fight for the soul of Australian boxing.
After both fighters successfully weighed in for Friday night's Australasian super welterweight title fight, Tszyu said he was adamant in maintaining the "respectful" image of boxing that was passed down from his father, boxing legend Kostya.
And to do that, he must knock out the "clown" Brubaker.
"Boxing is such a brutal sport, the first thing you learn in boxing is respect," he said. "You get clowns here and there come to boxing that don't understand boxing to its full potential, and this is a clown that has come to the sport who is all about himself."

To exemplify the respect has for the sport, Tszyu intends to honour his last opponent Dwight Ritchie with live and silent auctions during the event to raise money for the Dwight Ritchie Family Fund. Ritchie was killed during a sparring session with Michael Zerafa on November 9.
Ritchie took a body shot, collapsed and could not be revived.
"As a community, we are all still reeling from the loss of Dwight Ritchie. It's hard to believe that just three short months ago, we were preparing for our own fight and now he is no longer with us,” Tszyu said.

"It's just different nerves," Hodges said. "At least on a footy field you've got mates who can help you out when you're not feeling the best, but in this sport, if you go in their alone, you got to look after yourself, and that's a challenge."
