Martin Taupau (born 3 February 1990) is a professional rugby league footballer of Samoan Heritage, who plays as prop and lock for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in the NRL, and Samoa and New Zealand at international level.

Manly Sea Eagles have announced the re-signing of front-rower Marty Taupau until the end of the 2022 season.

Taupau was off-contract at the end of next year.

"It's a very excited day today for myself, my family and my club," Taupau said in a video released by the club.

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league team named after the Manly and Warringah areas of Sydney's Northern Beaches in which the club is based.

"I get to sign an extension of another two years. This club means a lot to me.

"It's given me a lot of opportunities the last couple of years ot build a great team and a great club.

"There's definitely a special feeling. We all felt it as a team driving into the finals.

"The way the boys have come back into the preseason and the fact that we've kept the majority of the team together and the fact that we're developing our junior players coming through the ranks is something special.

"I think we're very excited and our fans will be excited."

Taupau debuted in the NRL for the Bulldogs in 2010 and moved to the Tigers in 2014 before signing with Manly in 2016.

He has played a total of 157 NRL matches, 24 Tests for New Zealand and three Tests for Samoa.
