  Man charged over alleged sexual assault of child A 12-year-old girl has allegedly been sexually assaulted by a stranger in the street on the New South Wales Far North Coast. Police allege the child was approached by an unknown man near the corner of Magellan and Carrington Streets, Lismore on Wednesday night.The girl was then allegedly sexually assaulted at nearby Molesworth Street.The incident was reported to police and after making enquiries, they arrested a 38-year-old man at a property near Lismore yesterday morning.A search warrant was executed, and detectives have seized a mobile phone and several other items.

A woman has reportedly been charged after allegedly leaking an explicit video featuring Brisbane Broncos young gun Kotoni Staggs on social media.

Police on Thursday charged an 18-year-old Brisbane woman with one count of distributing a prohibited visual recording.

The video of Staggs engaging in consensual sex with a woman was leaked, allegedly without the NRL player’s consent , on Tuesday.

Staggs reported the incident to police and was subsequently cleared of any wrongdoing by the NRL Integrity Unit after it was confirmed the encounter was consensual and occurred before the COVID-19 lockdown.

The woman, who is a self-described ‘wellness coach’, is scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court in September.

According to News Corp , the video was leaked after the 21-year-old rising star allegedly rejected the woman’s repeated attempts to contact him.

The Broncos said in a statement on Tuesday: "The Brisbane Broncos have been made aware of a video recording involving Kotoni Staggs being circulated on social media.

"The video is of a highly personal nature and has been released without his consent.

"The club is working closely with the NRL Integrity Unit, having alerted it as soon as becoming aware of the issue."

Staggs is considered a representative star of the future after making his NRL debut against the Sydney Roosters in Round 11 of the 2018 season.

The 39-game centre has scored seven tries in six appearances for the struggling Broncos in 2020.

He has been named in Anthony Seibold’s starting side for Friday’s Round 13 grudge match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
