“No I don’t think so, he’s obviously been thinking about it but it’s two different stories thinking about it and it probably actually happening,” Thomas said.

“He was medically retired for a reason there, his shoulder’s not that good.

“Obviously I think he’d love to do it but it might be a different story actually doing it.”

“I think he’s handled it (retirement) pretty well, it’s not easy but I think it’s been great for him being back around the team and it’s been really good having him there,” Thomas said.

“He’s a natural born leader, he’s always been like that from a young age so it’s just good to have him around the players … even though he’s not playing he’s sort of leading them off the field and on the field at training as well.

“It’s been really good having him and it’s probably eased that transition (into retirement) a little bit.”
