The underdog won the spectacular fourth game of the Best-of-Seven series against the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-7 and drew 2-2.
Two runs in the last inning gave the Rays the win.
"We just never give up," said Tampas Kevin Kiermaier after the meeting we thought was lost: "We have been doing it all year round. We are the comeback kids. To manage the whole thing on such a big stage is important make it a little sweeter. "
Dodgers catcher can't control the ballRandy Arozarena scored the decisive run because Dodgers catcher Will Smith couldn't control the ball.
For MLB newcomer Arozarena it was already the ninth home run in the playoffs, which means a league record.
The Rays can continue to dream of their first title.
The Dodgers, who last lost in the World Series in 2017 and 2018, can take the lead for the third time on Sunday (local time) in the battle for the first championship in 32 years.
