Aaron Finch comes into the Test setup having played 93 ODIs and 42 T20Is. White-ball specialist batsman Aaron Finch and South Australia captain Travis Head will make their Test debuts in the series-opener against Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday, Australia coach Justin Langer has confirmed.

Will Pucovski will have the chance to bat himself into a Test debut despite indications that Joe Burns has the inside running, Australian coach Justin Langer says.

Both Langer and star opening batsman David Warner have suggested that Burns is the man favoured to top the order against India, given he's the incumbent.

Yet with double centuries in his past two Sheffield Shield matches for Victoria, against modest returns for Queensland's Burns, Pucovski has built an immense case.

Looming Australia A matches will play a genuine part in selection, Langer said on Wednesday; meaning that Pucovski may in fact get the nod if he significantly outperforms Burns.

But if Siraj were to make his Test debut in the Border-Gavaskar trophy this summer, then he’ll become the first fast bowler to make his Test debut from the Hyderabad cricket team. When did Siraj make his first-class debut? Siraj made his first-class debut in November 2015 for Hyderabad against Services. The right-arm quick’s debut didn’t go to plan, taking a sole wicket (0-78 and 1-30).

New Australia coach Justin Langer discusses the upcoming limited-overs tour of the UK, the side' s first outing since the ball-tampering incident.

Australian cricket is going through one of the most troubled periods in its history, so the team' s new coach, Justin Langer , has a big job ahead of him.

With Warner and Langer both forced to publicly discuss the pros and cons of Burns and Pucovski, the coach denied that the selection debate could be detrimental to the team or the players involved.

"Not really, it's all part of the drama and the circus, if you like, the theatre building up the Test cricket," Langer told SEN radio.

"It won't become divisive, hopefully it won't become a distraction to the players, because we're talking to them all the time. They're really clear where they stand.

"And they've got an opportunity. There's an Australia A game, both Joe and Will will play in the Australia A game next week. There's a second Australia A game, so one of them or both or them will get another opportunity to play against India; we'll make that decision closer to the date.

Androgynous style icons: Past and present

Androgynous style icons: Past and present The lines once sternly drawn between genders are dissipating faster than ever, and the ambiguity that arises from bending and melding wardrobes has become something to aspire to in the world of fashion, and beyond. But there are certain bold icons who took, and continue to take, great leaps towards this idyllic fashion future where anyone can wear whatever they like without anyone else batting an eye. Harry Styles recently became Vogue's first-ever solo male cover star, and did so while wearing a Gucci dress, though US rightwingers certainly had more to say than simply batting an eye. Styles is embracing the gender fluid, non-binary style becoming popular among younger generations, but both he and Gen Z have numerous other trailblazers before them to thank. "And by the time the Test comes around, my experience is that we'll be pretty clear who's going to open the batting. It's nice to have those discussions."

Langer said that regardless of whether Pucovski was selected, nearly two years after his first Test squad inclusion, he had proven his outstanding ability.

"We have huge admiration and faith in Will Pucovski," Langer said.

"He's a fantastic player, he's doing everything humanly possible. He's banging that hard [on the selectors' door], which is what we want from all our players in Australian cricket.

"He's banging that hard to get an opportunity and that's what we're looking for. The guys in the team, they can't get complacent for a second because there's good players out there.

"That's been the foundation for the success of Australian cricket for a very long time. As a coach, I'm not stressed about it, I'm actually pumped about it because I know how much competition [exists] and competition's healthy."
