My NRL ladder prediction: Part 2 (13-11)

My NRL ladder prediction: Part 2 (13-11) Here are my predictions for which teams will finished 13th, 12th and 11th on the NRL ladder this season. 13. Brisbane Broncos (last year 16th) If 2020 was represented through an NRL team, it would certainly be the Brisbane Broncos. The Broncos had their worst year in club history as they picked up their first ever wooden spoon. Things looked promising for the Broncos before the league was postponed due to COVID-19 as they had two convincing wins on the board, coming against the Cowboys and the Rabbitohs. After the COVID-19 shutdown I was proved wrong when I thought they would be a team to beat.

Wests Tigers young gun Jock Madden has re-signed for a further year, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2022 season.

The 20-year old has come through the grades at the Tigers, but is yet to make his NRL debut.

He featured in the trial on Sunday afternoon against Manly, and will serve as a back-up to first-choice halves Luke Brooks and Adam Doueihi in 2021.

Madden thanked the club and believes he has developed as a player during his time at Concord.

“I’m extremely grateful and excited to be part of this club moving forward,” he said.

“I’ve seen this club grow a lot since I’ve been here, and I feel like I’ve developed a lot as a player too.

NRL All Stars 2021: How to watch, when is it, teams and live blog The 2021 rugby league calendar is set to kick off with a bang as the Indigenous and Maori All-Stars teams face off at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. The Maori side will be looking to back up their wins from 2020, with Brandon Smith playing an integral role in the men's 30-16 victory, whilst their women's side is attempting to secure their third consecutive victory after a 10-4 win. However, the sides have been hampered by the Victorian lockdown, with several Melbourne Storm stars, including Smith and flyer Josh Addo-Carr forced to withdraw.

"I’ve really enjoyed learning from the players here over the past two years and I’m looking forward to taking the next step in my career now at Wests Tigers.

“Everyone is really focused on achieving the same success here at Wests Tigers and I’m excited to play my part in helping bring that for our members and fans.”

Wests Tigers head coach Michael Maguire praised Madden's professionalism and dedication.

“I’m really pleased to see Jock re-sign with the club because I can see how hard he works to improve himself and the team every single day,” he said.

“Jock is thoroughly professional in all that he does — both on and off the field — and I have no doubt that his dedication to the high standard he strives to achieve will see him continue to develop into a strong Wests Tigers player.”
