'We trained a bit, we danced, laughed, remembered how good it was. 10-15 pizzas arrived too which was the best moment!

Then, when asked what his favourite slice of pizza was, Guardiola joked: 'I don't know. I was not in my perfect condition to decide which one I ate! But I think all of them was so good!

'Here in England, the parties are always just alcohol not food. I don't understand why. But in that moment it was perfect.

'It was a nice moment all-together, we celebrate really good. But now we train for tomorrow and go on.'

Guardiola also paid tribute to chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak for backing him after a disappointing first season, back in 2016-17, when City didn't win a trophy and only narrowly qualified for the Champions League.

'When I was here in the first season I didn't win anything, and I can't forget the disappointment of Lyon, and the support I had from the chairman (Khaldoon Al Mubarak),' Guardiola added.

'Our success is dedicated to him supporting me. Saying that we now have two weeks before a dream come true in the Champions League final.'
