Ohio Schools Freak Over Critical Race Theory, Dump Anti-Racism Reforms

Ohio Schools Freak Over Critical Race Theory, Dump Anti-Racism Reforms The Ohio State Board of Education has backtracked on its own efforts to fight racism, voting Wednesday evening to repeal a resolution that demanded equity for students of color. School board members reportedly voiced concerns that the initial anti-racism resolution—crafted at the height of the George Floyd protests—would promote division, with one person going so far as to call it “a crisis in our nation and our country.” In a 10-7 vote, the board opted to replace the resolution with another that would “promote academic excellence” regardless of “race, ethnicity, or creed.

In a tweet, Schultz wrote "the NBA is preparing for a massive story accusing #Suns owner Robert Sarver of racism , sexism and sexual harassment in a series of incidents, sources say. Even hints of racism or sexism in our culture today are toxic and damaging and should not be lightly raised. I categorically deny any and all suggestions that I used disparaging language related to race or gender. I would like to think that my actions and public record regarding race, gender, or discrimination of any kind, over a lifetime in business and community service, will adequately answer any questions anyone

The Phoenix Suns released a statement regarding a potential media investigation into the workplace culture of the franchise, denying that the organisation or owner Robert Sarver have a history of racism or sexism.

The statement said the organization is aware that ESPN is working on a story accusing the organisation of misconduct on a “variety of topics.” The Suns responded by saying they were “completely baseless claims” and “documentary evidence in our possession and eyewitness accounts directly contradict the reporter’s accusations, and we are preparing our response to his questions.”

" Racism and white supremacy have been and tragically continue to be part of the Asian American experience." Although most violence toward Asian American women doesn't get elevated to the national spotlight, experts say it's not an uncommon occurrence, and it has been amplified during the Sung Yeon Choimorrow, executive director of the nonprofit National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum, said what's often lost in the discussion is how Asian women experience a very specific form of sexism , which she said shouldn't be conflated with the misogyny that other groups, like white

The idea of removing an owner has recent precedence in the NBA . Clippers owner Donald Sterling was banned from the league after he was caught on tape making racist comments. That team was eventually sold for billion to Steve Ballmer.

Sarver — a Phoenix businessman — has owned the Suns since 2004.

Suns general manager James Jones, who is Black, said in the team’s response: “None of what’s been said describes the Robert Sarver I know, respect and like – it just doesn’t.”

The franchise is coming off one of the most successful seasons in its history, making the NBA Finals with stars Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton before losing in six games to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Suns have made the Finals three times, in 1976, 1993 and 2021, but have never won a championship.

Racism and sexism are largely problematic because they infer inherent differences where none exist. It's not so clear cut with different species. I don't think that's true. The reason is this: Throughout history many races have claimed superiority over others in intelligence, strength, and creativity, but these claims have consistently been shown false. It is almost always the case that the differences are circumstantial, and not biological. In fact, humans are more genetically homogenous than most species are.

Racism , sexism , and homophobia, in that order. Their strategy to get control of political power depends on it. Look at the NFL. Nothing is ever accomplished until the next political opportunity, then we start all over again. Joining would mean essentially saying FU to their men who are still under the boot of racism and before the battle has been won in the claim for equality between human beings it

He added that he didn't expect the situation would be a distraction for the team.

“Nothing will invade or erode our culture," Williams said. "That's something we've said from Day 1. Wins, losses, we get to play basketball, we get to hoop and that's not going to change.”

The potential investigation came to light when league analyst Jordan Schultz posted a message on social media that said the league was preparing for a “massive” story and that if there is “enough evidence to support such claims, there’s a real chance the league would forcibly remove Sarver.”

Sarver and the Suns responded with a lengthy statement. The 59-year-old Sarver also owns the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury.

“While I can’t begin to know how to respond to some of the vague suggestions made by mostly anonymous voices, I can certainly tell you that some of the claims I find completely repugnant to my nature and to the character of the Suns/Mercury workplace and I can tell you they never, ever happened,” Sarver said.

(NaturalNews) Over the past six years, the race relations in America have not improved much. In fact, most people will probably say they believe race relations have even gotten worse since the nation elected its first president of some African-American descent ( President Barack Obama 's mother was white, as you know). Long ago, the United States took measures to ensure that racism in all its forms was dealt with legally and constitutionally. Yet, in 2015, many act as though those changes have never been made, let alone considered. Obama, as the agitator-in-chief, is right at the top of that list.

racism / sexism were created by society. On the other hand, we are hardwired to be attracted to beautiful people (beauty is culturally subjective though). I do think that some of the reasons ugly people are discriminated against stems from society but still.. there's that feeling you get when your around someone you find attractive that cannot be ignored. Sexism , racism , etc can cause natural biases to keep people from hiring somebody else for a job (for one example). I've seen it all, but I've never seen anyone who didn't get hired because they were ugly.

Not even a full week into the season, the NBA now has yet another potentially significant issue on its hands — even without knowing the full scope of the accusations that the Suns say are coming.

The statements from the Suns came two days after Boston center Enes Kanter called for Tibetan independence, comments that prompted a Chinese broadcasting partner to stop streaming Celtics games in the basketball-crazed country.

There are also two high-profile players sidelined for various reasons, with Brooklyn not allowing Kyrie Irving to be around their team until he gets vaccinated against the coronavirus and Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons not participating in practices or games with the 76ers after seeking a trade that has yet to be made.
