They paid Roma a club-record £36.9 million for the Egyptian forward, and Salah has been worth that price and more, winning the Premier League Golden Boot twice, including the Premier League record for goals scored (32) in a 38-game season, accomplishing that staggering feat in 2018. Salah was also a difference maker for Liverpool in their 2019 Champions League and 2020 Premier League title-winning campaigns.

The Old Trafford outfit agreed to the eyebrow-raising bonus demands in an attempt to beat Arsenal to the signing of the versatile defender.
