And here is how the visitors line up.

No place in the starting XI for any of the club's recent summer recruits with Conte instead choosing to go with continuity.

Richarlison, who terrorised Chelsea back in May with a stunning performance for Everton at Goodison Park, will be hoping to get on and make a difference for his new club.

The teams

Here is Chelsea's line up for today. Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly all make their home debuts.

How they match up

15:32,

Tottenham's record at Stamford Bridge is atrocious, in truth.

Since 1990, they have won once there in the league. A 3-1 win in April 2018 that day with Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen the scorers. Both of those have long since departed the club.

Coming into this clash, however, Spurs probably travel to Stamford Bridge more confident than ever they can leave west London with all three points.

Conte, whose exit from the club in 2018 was rather acrimonious, will be hoping he can return to what was a very happy hunting ground to exact some revenge on his former employers. Quite a lot has changed since he was last their manager, however.

Spurs recover to thrash Saints | Conte explains absent new signings Tottenham began their new Premier League season with a comfortable 4-1 home win over Southampton, despite the visitors taking a surprise lead. The visitors took a surprise lead in the 12th minute through James Ward-Prowse's superb downward volley, but the home side equalised just nine minutes later as Ryan Sessegnon scored his first Premier League goal for Spurs with a back-post header.

Hello and welcome

15:26,

Well, what an early season treat this is!

Tottenham travel to Chelsea in the second game of their seasons as both look to outline their title credentials even at this early stage.

The two clubs find themselves at an interesting point in their recent history. Tottenham, typically the London club who have flattered to deceive over the years, are being tipped to be the likeliest club to step up and challenge Manchester City and Liverpool this term. Having Antonio Conte as their boss, himself a former league winning manager with Chelsea, only contributes to that view.

Meanwhile Chelsea, under the new ownership led by Todd Boehly have had something of an odd summer and come into this season shrouded in uncertainty. Do they have the goals to keep pace with the likes of City and Liverpool this season?

Line ups are to come shortly.
