Dib was announced last month to face Matt Remillard in his return to American shores on February 24th.

However, the fight is in serious doubt after Dib tweeted the news of his visa's cancellation, with the 28-year-old accusing the US government of using his faith as a motivator for their actions.

"The United States Government has cancelled my VISA to the United States," Dib wrote in a tweet on Wednesday, which he ended with a reference to incumbent US president Donald Trump.

Dib volunteered at a refugee camp in Ain al-Hilweh in Lebanon in 2016, and is studying accounting and law on his way to becoming a forensic accountant.

He is a two-time winner of the Australian Super Featherweight Title and is a former WBO Oriental champion.

Dib last fought in a bout against American Yuandale Evans in April 2017 for the interim WBA-NABA Super Featherweight title, losing in a hard-fought 10-rounder.
