Britain and Europe Are Destined to Be Rivals

Britain and Europe Are Destined to Be Rivals Much of Brexit is the application of logic to decisions that have already been made. Thus: British voters decided in 2016 that they wanted to end the right of European Union citizens to live and work in Britain, and to repatriate trade policy to Westminster, therefore the country has to leave the EU’s single economic market and customs union, which are not compatible with either goal. If Britain leaves the EU’s single market and customs union, there must therefore be an economic border between it and the EU.

NDIS Minister Stuart Robert says he has “no idea” whether he received emails from NDIA chair Helen Nugent from her Macquarie Group email account.

An investigation was launched by the minister into Ms Nugent’s use of the private email account for NDIS matters and found there had been “no clear breach of privacy".

Minister Robert told Sky News an instruction had since been put out to ensure directors do not use private emails.

When asked how the process went unchecked for six years, Mr Robert told Sky News, “It was how it was set up back in mid-2013 and it has gone unchecked until I dealt with it”.

Indian court gives disputed religious site to Hindus India's Supreme Court ruled on Saturday in favor of a Hindu group in a long-running battle over a centuries-old religious site also claimed by Muslims, in a verdict that could raise tension between the two communities. “I can’t recall checking [the email address]. I first, I guess, became cognitively aware of it when it was raised in estimates and I then immediately acted and instructed the secretary to do a review.

“The review is very clear to me there is no clear breach of privacy, so no apparent breach of harm.”

Asked if he had ever received an email from Ms Nugent from her private account, Mr Robert told Sky News he had “no idea”.

“Keeping in mind when an email comes into your inbox, yourself as well, it just has the name of the person, very rarely does it have the email address itself,” the minister said.

He also claimed his email client did not reveal the email address of senders.

“Not in [my emails], I can’t and unless you’re in the process of checking the email address of every single person of emailing you – I don’t think the average Australian is in that way of thinking.”
