Uber Eats has announced a $5 million package to help businesses in Australia and New Zealand struggling during the coronavirus outbreak.
It has waived pick-up fees for restaurants on orders until June 30 and has given businesses the option to be paid daily rather than weekly.
"With less people dining out and many events cancelled we can help generate new revenue streams for impacted businesses by unlocking new opportunities," Uber Eats said today.
"To that end, during this time we will be waiving activation fees to help new restaurants wanting to quickly join the platform.
The food delivery service has also pledged to deliver 25,000 meals to those on the frontlines such as healthcare workers.
It also said it would "continue to support delivery partners who are diagnosed with COVID-19 or placed in quarantine by a public health authority, providing financial assistance for a period of up to 14 days".
Restaurants have been hit hard by the self-isolation advice from Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
