British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, hospitalized on Sunday suffering from coronavirus, was transferred Monday evening to an intensive care unit in a hospital in central London, announced his spokesman.

"During the afternoon, the Prime Minister's state of health deteriorated and, on the advice of his medical team, he was transferred to the intensive care unit of the hospital," said the spokesperson in a statement.
