Protesters in London have scrambled out of the way of a charging police horse that broke free of its handler.

Footage shows police on horseback patrolling during a march, which was focused on racial issues stemming from the death of black man George Floyd in the United States.

Protesters had to flee after one of the police horses began charging.

While most of the demonstration was peaceful, a small number of protesters near Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Downing Street residence threw bottles at police, and mounted officers charged to push them back.
