According to a report by “Sport Bild”, the former Bundesliga professional Julian Weigl wants to leave his Club Benfica Lisbon after just under a year.

The 25-year-old Weigl only moved from Borussia Dortmund to Lisbon in January and signed a contract there until 2024. The defensive midfielder only started once on the first seven match days of the Portuguese league.

He has therefore ended the cooperation with his previous agency and will in future be represented by Pini Zahavi, who also works for Bayern players Robert Lewandowski and David Alaba.
