Sanction the oligarchs in Russia. This is Alexei Navalny's message to MEPs. In a virtual meeting Friday, the Russian opponent called on the European Union to change its approach to Moscow.

It calls for strengthening and reorienting European sanctions in order to weaken those close to Russian President Vladimir Poutine, rather than targeting the military "who certainly do not have many properties in Europe or accounts in European banks", explains Alexeï Navalny. He asks to target the experienced and younger oligarchs. "They must be the real targets of the sanctions," insists the opponent.
