BMW Australia has issued an urgent recall for drivers of the E70 X5 and the BMW E71 X6 with model years between 2007 and 2010 after concerns a connecting plug could spark a vehicle fire.Drivers of the BMW E70 X5 and BMW E71 X6 cars with model years between 2007 and 2010 will be impacted by the national recall.
In the first three months of the year, the BMW Group delivered a total of around 636,600 vehicles of the BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce brands and thus achieved a new all-time high for the first quarter. This is an increase of 33.5% at the previous year.
Between January and March, the company increased its sales in all major regions of the world compared to the previous year.
The high customer demand speaks according to BMW for a strong product range and confirms the long-term product strategy. The BMW brand alone has delivered 560,543 vehicles to customers in the first quarter of this year. That's 36.2% more than in the previous year. Above all,
for the sales success contributed the high popularity of the X models, as well as the 3rd and 5 series. Sales of electrified vehicles has more than doubled in the first quarter. By 2030, the share of fully electric vehicles should be at least 50 percent of the global paragraph.
