A Sunshine Coast groom-to-be who stabbed his brother to death in an alleged drunken "fit of rage" three days before he was set to be married has pleaded not guilty to murder. Bernard John Robbins, 59, is on trial in the Supreme Court in Brisbane, accused of murdering Gregory Kenneth Robbins, 61, at his Buderim unit in June 2019.On Tuesday the court heard Greg Robbins had just arrived in Queensland from Western Australia to attend his younger brother's wedding, which was due to go ahead later that week.
A young father and local footballer has been mysteriously stabbed to death just weeks after getting married.
Formwork labourer Dylan 'Bondie' Bond, 26, died on Monday after being stabbed at a home in Thomson, near Geelong.
Police were called to the scene before 4pm, and a 22-year-old man from North Geelong is under police guard assisting detectives with their inquiries.
Another 24-year-old man from Corio was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Mr Bond married his wife Grace on February 13, who will now be left to raise their infant son Levi alone.
'Stunned mullet' comment before stabbing

Family and friends remembered him as a loving father and non-judgmental friend with a 'heart of gold'.
'You were a light in this world. You were a great friend to the unpopular kid... You were an amazing father... You were never one to judge me when I came out,' one friend wrote as a tribute to Mr Bond on social media.
Another described remembered Mr Bond, who was a member of the Corio Football club, as having a 'warm welcoming smile'.
'More than twenty years of friendship, a warm welcoming smile. A beautiful family who accepts everybody for who they are no matter how weird or strange you may be,' one person said.
'Thank you for being the larrikin that everyone knew to love. You were a big softy with a heart of gold and will be sorely missed by all,' another loved one commemorated.
'Thank you for having my back for so many of my younger years.'
Police are investigating the stabbing and do not yet know the exact circumstances of what happened.
No arrests or charges have been laid.
