and so prepare the onion soup:

1. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add onion strips, garlic cloves and sugar and roast everything about a quarter of an hour - until the onions are nicely caramelized and soft. Then remove the garlic cloves. 2. Stir in the flour into the onion mixture and sauté easily. Add peppers and deglaze everything with the beer. Stir smoothly and add the broth. Simmer a quarter of an hour.

3. Season the soup with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Distribute in four refractory soup cups.

4. The white bread slices (the bread optionally matching cutting) with the cheese slices occupy and place each on the soup. Put under the barbecue (for example oven) and bake golden brown. Gladly garnish with chives - and serve!
