On November 10, the public prosecutor had requested one year in prison, six months off, as well as € 10,000, against the 76-year-old accused, for favoritism and misappropriation of public funds by negligence.

Friday, December 3rd, the 32nd Correctional Chamber examined two judgments of the Paris Court of Appeal, rendered on 9 November. That day, the Court of Appeal had revoked some of the stay of Claude Gueant (three months) and a part of his conditional freedom (six months) because it considered that it did not proceed to the necessary payments.

"Off topic and out of debate"
