Dodge Superbee found buried with Mopar treasures
A lifelong Mopar family has treasure in their hut.Hidden deep in the woods of Michigan sits a Quonset hut full of treasures. A family that had worked for generations at Chrysler was thoughtful enough to tuck away a variety of cool Mopars and memorabilia from their time with the company.
Last month saw the debut of. While there are a coming down the pipe (Tradesman, Sport, etc.), Ram used the 2018 to showcase a whole host of Mopar parts and accessories on a bright-red 2019 Ram. In total, there will be more than 200 new parts available when the new Ram hits showrooms later this year.
The truck here is a Flame Red 2019Big Horn Sport 4x4. It's sporting a 2-inch lift kit, 35-inch tires, 18-inch beadlock wheels, black fender flares and black aluminum running boards. The bed has the adjustable "Ram Rack," a sort of frame that can be used to strap down large items like a couple of kayaks. The rear bumper has a bed step that articulates outward when needed. The has a similar feature.
Next-Gen Ram 1500 Spied Testing In Less Camouflage
The new headlights are especially attractive. After previously testing the next-gen Ram 1500 with nearly no camouflage, the company now apparently feels comfortable putting the truck on the road with relatively little to hide its updated body. These shots catch the pickup under development and show the vehicle wearing the production grille, headlights, and taillights.
There are a few performance upgrades, too, though Mopar doesn't list any new power ratings. There's a new cold-air intake for the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that's functional with all of the new Ram's hood designs. The Hemi also gets a new stainless steel catback exhaust system. The 5-inch exhaust tips fit into the bumper.
Visually, the Ram gets a black Mopar logo on the hood, black Ram emblems and badges, black tow hooks and a Mopar logo in the trailer hitch. The interior is done up in Katzkin leather with red stitching, and the ram's head logo on the seat backs and rubber floor mats.
One of the coolest things about all of these parts is that customers can have them installed before ever taking delivery. Those parts will also be backed by the sameas the rest of the truck.
2019 Ram 1500 pickup is in its own 'production hell' .
FCA's main profit center, the Ram 1500, is behind schedule and it's costing the company hundreds of millions. While Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' CEO Sergio Marchionne isn't bedding down on the factory floor like Tesla's Elon Musk, the company's pivotal new 2019 Ram 1500 pickup is encountering its own brand of production hell. ("You need to be Elon's age to do that. I'm too old for that crap," Marchionne said on last week's media conference call).

ST. JOHN’S, NL – Hot on the heels of the all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, the 2019 GMC Sierra will soon start trickling into Canadian dealerships in late September. And with this new generation, these two popular full-size pickup trucks go from near-identical twins to siblings with very […]

The conscious decoupling of Toyota and Scion after the latter brand’s demise resulted in a few awkward years for product planners at the parent company, who tried their best to cram leftovers (iM) and newly birthed orphans (CH-R) wherever they could into the behemoth’s North American […]

They’ve been down this road before, Subaru has. Fresh into the 21st century, Subaru saw that the crossover trend wouldn’t stop with the mid-size wagons like the Outback and compact SUVs like the Forester, and they wisely decided to branch out with a larger mid-sizer that could seat up to […]

The first-generation Honda Insight was a wacky three-door contraption with wheel spats. The second-generation Honda Insight was a five-door hatchback that, despite being the least expensive hybrid on the market when it launched, never caught up to Toyota's stalwart Prius. Third […]

Several things make me feel irrelevant, and reviewing a Honda Civic is high on that list of things. A 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo engine that’s punchy, sounds decent, performs well, and packs enough low-end torque that you rarely need to get it spinning much beyond idle to cruise though […]

Think about everything that's happened in the last decade -- in the automotive world, anyway. High-volume cars such as the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry have undergone two full redesigns. The Chrysler 200, Dodge Dart and Kia Borrego have all come and gone. Entire brands like Saab and […]
