The Corvettes Are Taking Over Drifting

The Corvettes Are Taking Over Drifting It was only a matter of time. All the signs were there. Finally, in America, Corvettes are taking over drifting. Surprisingly, the momentum feels like it started abroad. Drifting is a low-buck way to have fun in a car. It attracts kids who have never done anything on track before, so a lot of the cars you see at a drift event will be their owner’s only ride. There are lots of license plates on track. This explains why you see so many Nissan 240SXs and BMW E36s in the drift scene. You can buy one for a couple grand, use it as your (somewhat s**tty) everyday vehicle and also learn to drift on it.

More than two years ago we were introduced to the Sherp–a heroically unstoppable 4 x 4 tractor thing from Russia with 63-inch tires. But don’t worry, some mud-bogging boys got ahold of one and plopped it into a pit of Texas clay.

More than two years ago we were introduced to the Sherp–a heroically unstoppable 4x4 tractor thing from Russia with 63-inch tires. I sort of figured it would be relegated for official use only. But don’t worry, some mud-bogging boys got ahold of one and plopped it into a pit of Texas clay.

I’ll save you the suspense from reading this video’s title and explain that, yes, the Sherp did get stuck. Sort of. As the camera guy points out a few minutes in: “If we had eight hours,” it’d probably paddle its way back to solid ground.

I just think it’s fun to watch those enormous wheels churn the Earth. You wouldn’t catch me driving into a mud pit like that in my Scout, though. It’d probably just disappear forever.

2018 Ford Mustang design breakdown: How it got that sleek new look .
As time marches on, even icons needs a little nip and tuck now and then. Such was the case for the 2018 Ford Mustang, which, three years removed from the biggest update ever made to a Mustang (independent rear suspension, finally!), received a restyling to keep it looking fresh. The results felt controversial at first blush, but as reality set in and we've started seeing the stallions in the wild, it now seems like a natural progression of the pony car.© Provided by AOL Inc.
