The 2021 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark 8 Might Have 250 Horsepower

The 2021 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark 8 Might Have 250 Horsepower The GTI might be the lowest-end version of the next-gen Golf that comes to the United States. The next-generation Volkswagen Golf GTI has been spied for the first time. It will keep using a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four that might have more than 250 horsepower. The GTI could be the lowest-end version of the Mark 8 Golf th We've already seen the eighth-generation Volkswagen Golf with almost no camo at all, but the next-gen GTI, a perennial favorite of ours, has been somewhat of a mystery.

The Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen and its lifted cousin the Alltrack offer everything great about the compact VW Golf , with just more cargo area. Of course VW has been selling the Sportwagen for a while, including under the Jetta banner, but it only recently realized that if you actually want to sell

Volkswagen Golf Alltrack vs. Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen . The VW Golf SportWagen is geared toward those drivers who don’t believe their path ends where the road does. The primary way this difference is manifested is the inclusion on the VW Golf Alltrack of standard 4Motion® full-time

The Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen and Alltrack Are Ending Production This Year© Volkswagen Two of the last affordable wagons in the US are victims of the all-conquering crossover.

We have bad news, wagon fans: The Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen and Alltrack, two of the most affordable wagons for sale in America, will be put to pasture by the end of 2019. Volkswagen confirmed Wednesday that both variants will end production in Puebla, Mexico this year, to be replaced by the company's growing range of SUVs and crossovers.

This isn't too much of a surprise considering America's love affair with high-riding vehicles, but it's still a disappointment. VW says SUVs accounted for more than half of its total sales in the first half of 2019. It plans to add three new crossovers to its lineup in the next 24 months. While Americans are buying more wagons than ever, they hold a smaller share of the market.

Next-Gen Volkswagen Golf GTI Spied For The First Time

Next-Gen Volkswagen Golf GTI Spied For The First Time The changes are difficult to spot. Volkswagen is developing the next-generation Mk VIII Golf, and we've already spotted prototypes testing. Now, we have spy photos of the hotter Golf GTI model for the first time. At first glance, the new spy photos look nearly identical to those of the 2020 Golf; however, upon closer inspection, it's easy to tell this is a hotter variant of the two.

Our 2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack Is as Desirable as Ever at 32,000 Miles. Even as it nears the end of its test WARRANTY 6 years /72,000 miles bumper to bumper; 6 years /72,000 miles powertrain; 7 WHAT WE LIKE: The Volkswagen Golf Alltrack ’s ability to carry people and stuff comfortably

It’s been just over a year since we added a 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack to the Motor1 long-term test fleet. This car has heated seats, a huge sunroof, a robust infotainment system (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity), automatic headlights, and all -wheel drive, all for just over

Last month, Volkswagen sold 1314 wagons, accounting for a little over a third of total Golf sales (the automaker doesn't break down Sportwagen vs. Alltrack numbers). That number pales in comparison to the 9378 Tiguans the brand sold in the same time period.

Volkswagen will soon debut a new, eighth-generation Golf, which might only come to the US in GTI and Golf R form. Last year, UK publication Autocar reported that there might not be any wagon version of the Mk8 Golf, despite the fact that wagons remain popular in Europe.

With the Sportwagen and Alltrack dead, wagon choices in America aren't looking too great. You have the Buick Regal TourX, the Subaru Outback, the Volvo V60 and V90, the Jaguar XF Sportbrake, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and the Audi Allroad. That's about it. Remember wagon fans, if you want wagons here, you have to buy them.

2020 VW Touareg ONE Million Celebrates SUV’s Production Milestone.
The midsize luxury SUV has been on sale since the end of 2002. With the cancellation of the Phaeton a few years ago, the Bratislava-built Touareg has stepped up to become Volkswagen’s flagship model. The fancy SUV was retired from the U.S. market due to poor sales, but it’s still going strong in other parts of the world where the vehicle is considered by many as being the whole package. About 17 years after its launch and now in its third generation, the Touareg has reached an important production milestone: 1,000,000 units.
