It does not mean that the Fusion is gone, but rather, it could signal a shift in the company's priorities.

But that information didn't come in an official announcement made around the time of the car's arrival in dealerships, as is customary. Instead, we discovered that Ford's latest utility is already listed at Ford.ca with a starting price of $21,999.

That's for the entry-level S trim. An SE model comes in at $24,999, the Titanium at $28,499 and an SES variant carries an MSRP of $29,299.

Bees Help Ford Develop Paper Cargo Shelf

Bees Help Ford Develop Paper Cargo Shelf The humble beehive has inspired engineers to develop the “ Honeycomb Shelf ” – a lightweight, secret cargo shelf that can support 100 times its own weight, a strength-to-weight-ratio stronger than steel. Coming to Canada later this this, it was developed for the all-new Ford EcoSport SUV and designed to conceal valuables that may be fragile.

Ford has taken a little while to get to the subcompact crossover party. Its EcoSport , launched at the end of 2013, is hitting the European market a full

The 2018 Ford EcoSport is a five-passenger subcompact crossover that slots below the Escape in Ford 's SUV lineup. The EcoSport S is pretty well equipped, with available all-wheel drive and most basic amenities you will want from a modern car. The SE is quite a bit pricier

It may pique your interest, as it did ours, that the Titanium trim is not the most expensive, even though that badge is typically attached to the most comprehensively equipped version of any Ford model. That anomaly is due to the SES being the only EcoSport trim that comes standard with AWD; four-wheel traction is optional at the other three price points.

Front-wheel drive models -- S, SE and Titanium -- use a 1.0L turbo three-cylinder engine (the same one offered in the Fiesta and Focus) that lends the EcoSport 123 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque. Opt for AWD and you get a 2.0L four-cylinder good for 166 hp and 149 lb-ft. A six-speed automatic is standard across the board. If you want a manual in a tiny crossover, you'll have to shop elsewhere.
