Toyota Prices All-New 2019 Avalon

Toyota Prices All-New 2019 Avalon The surprisingly striking big car will start at $42,790 in Canada. The current Avalon isn't exactly an exciting model from Toyota, but the all-new 2019 Avalon changes that. Gone is the bigger but somehow blander-looking Camry style, in favour of a massive grille, sloping greenhouse, and even side skirts. We looked at the model up close earlier this year, but now we have more powertrain info and pricing. As before, the base 86 comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, 7.0-inch display audio system with Bluetooth, air conditioning, variable intermittent wipers and power-adjustable and heated side mirrors. The base price includes a six-speed manual transmission, and a six-speed automatic is a $1,200 option.

Next up is the GT trim which, at $33,260, is also priced to match last year's model. For the extra money, Toyota adds dual-zone automatic air conditioning, upgraded seats with suede-like inserts and leather side bolsters, multi-information display, passive keyless entry, rear spoiler and LED fog lights. Again, the automatic transmission is a $1,200 add.

There are no changes to the 86's mechanical makeup. A 2.0L four-cylinder horizontally-opposed engine delivers 205 hp and 156 lb-ft of torque (or 200 hp/151 lb-ft with the automatic transmission) to the rear wheels; the automatic is notable for rev-matched downshifts when commanded by the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

The 2019 Toyota 86 is available now at dealers across Canada.

First Drive: 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback .
The conscious decoupling of Toyota and Scion after the latter brand’s demise resulted in a few awkward years for product planners at the parent company, who tried their best to cram leftovers (iM) and newly birthed orphans (CH-R) wherever they could into the behemoth’s North American showrooms. By now, however, the game of musical chairs is over, and there’s no longer any riff-raff hanging around to clutter up the playing field – which is why Toyota has introduced an all-new Corolla hatchback for 2019. Good enough all-around to make it a serious contender for your small-car dollars. Taking the place of the above-mentioned Corolla iM five-door – a hastily slapped-together save designed to play out the inventory string – the 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback rides on a separate, and more frisky platform compared to its sedan cousin. It also significantly boosts power over the iM while walking the line on price as it pushes its predecessor onto the dust heap, making it one of the more interesting affordable Toyotas in recent years. Warm Hatch Let’s get this out of the way: the liftback version of the 2019 Toyota Corolla is by no means a “hot hatch” in the modern sense, as it lacks the (turbocharged) power and the trick chassis required to claim that label. That said, time behind the wheel of the Corolla Hatchback along the sinuous roads linking the small Eastern Townships villages of Quebec revealed shocking competence when making rapid course corrections.
