Driver allegedly pulls gun on people who asked him to slow down, Toronto police say Police said a man and a woman asked the driver to slow down, at which point he allegedly pointed a gun at them and made threats.

The man was assaulted around Crawford St. and Bloor St. W., by Christie Pits Park , where he received several potentially life-threatening stab wounds, according to EMS duty officer Dan Hunter. Police are now trying to locate 24-year-old Mathew Pontes in connection with the incident.

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help locating a man who allegedly threw a “corrosive substance” on a family with an infant baby near Christie Pits Park on Thursday.

A man and woman were walking with their baby on Clifton St., north of Bloor St., around 4:30 p.m. when a man on a bicycle approached them and “threw a bottle containing a corrosive substance at the family, striking them,” police said in a Friday news release.

The suspect is described as male, white with wavy blond hair, wearing a baseball hat with a red maple leaf logo, a dark sweater with a red shirt underneath and beige cargo shorts. He was carrying a black Uber Eats backpack and riding on a black mountain bike, police said.
