Boy, 16, seriously injured in shooting in northwest Toronto A sixteen-year-old boy is recovering in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot twice while sitting in a car in northwest Toronto early Sunday, police say. The shooting occurred on Tandridge Crescent, near Albion Road and Elmhurst Drive, in Etobicoke, according to Staff Sgt. Baheer Sarvanandan of Toronto police's 23 Division. Police and paramedics were called to the residential area at about 1:20 a.m. Sarvanandan said the boy was in a car with a friend when another car approached and a male in the other car began firing.

Two men were seriously injured early Saturday in a shooting on a TTC bus in Etobicoke, Toronto police say.

Police said the shooting occurred on a bus in the area of Bloor Street West and Islington Avenue. Emergency crews were called to the bus at about 4:15 a.m.

"It's my understanding that this did occur on a bus," Staff Sgt. Al Bartlett, spokesperson for Toronto police's 22 Division, said on Saturday.

Passengers on the bus reportedly ducked for cover.

The two men were taken off the bus and to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition, according to James Burgin, deputy commander for Toronto Paramedic Services.

A man is in serious condition in hospital after he was shot multiple times in Etobicoke early on Saturday morning. Katrina Arrogante, Toronto police spokesperson, said the men are now listed in stable condition in hospital. Police have not released their ages.

4 suspects seen getting off bus

She said four suspects were seen getting off the bus and running northbound on Islington Avenue. No descriptions were available.

Police are continuing to investigate. The bus was held and secured for further analysis and the area was taped off. The bus sustained damage to its rear glass door.

Arrogante said police will ask the TTC for video from inside the bus.
