Second CAMH patient found NCR of violent crimes briefly goes missing, police say TORONTO — A man convicted of violent offences and detained at a Toronto mental health facility briefly walked away earlier this week, marking the second escape from the institution this month. Toronto police confirmed that 27-year-old Ahmed Sualim briefly walked away from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health on Monday, only to be found several hours later.

Toronto police are asking for the public's help to find a missing man who was last seen near the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, saying officers are "concerned for the safety of the public."

In a statement released Tuesday evening, police said 45-year-old Anthony Murdock was last seen at around 2:20 p.m. in the Ossington Avenue and Queen Street West area -- the main intersection just located at the entrance to the CAMH grounds.

The Toronto Police Service has now confirmed that Zhebin Cong has fled the country. He boarded an international flight on the same day he was reported On Wednesday, police also added that they were informed Cong was “a low risk” to public safety and to himself. They say several officers were

A police spokesperson told Global News they were unable to confirm if Murdock, who went missing from the same area in 2017, is indeed a patient at CAMH.

He was described as being six-foot-one, weighing approximately 200 pounds and having a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a burgundy cotton shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information was also asked to call police at 416-808-1400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477.

News of the man's disappearance comes as CAMH continues to face criticism after numerous patients have gone missing from the facility in recent weeks, with Charley being the sixth occurrence. Another patient, 59-year-old Robert McNamara, was reported missing Saturday and has still not been found. One of the most notable instances was regarding Zhebin Cong, a man who went missing from CAMH on July 3 and who police now believe fled the country. Cong was found not criminally responsible in the murder of his roommate in 2014.
