Over the summer, Maxime Bernier, the leader of the People's Party of Canada got in hot water over billboards with his face on them that read "Say NO to Mass Immigration!" However, now one comedian is taking over the phrase for his own personal gain. Sugar Sammy's Canadian tour announcement is mocking Bernier with parody billboards across the nation.
The billboards, which are up in Calgary, Quebec, and other cities, feature the face of comedian Samir Khullar, AKA Sugar Sammy with a banner reading "People's Comedian." In a hilarious spoof of the Bernier signs, the new billboards also say "Say YES to Mass Immigration."

Maxime Bernier (born January 18, 1963) is a Canadian businessman, lawyer and politician, currently serving as Member of Parliament for the Quebec riding of Beauce, having been elected four times with a majority of the vote.
They also advertise Sugar Sammy's 2019 Canadian tour. The tour is has already hit Winnipeg, Ottawa, Moncton, Halifax, Calgary, and Edmonton. According to their website, Sugar Sammy will be visiting Surrey on October 5, before heading to Vancouver, Brampton, and Toronto to finish out 2019.
He will be doing a private, corporate show in Montreal this month, but doesn't have a tour stop there despite one of his hilarious billboards going up. However, the Quebec billboard, which is written in French, says Sugar Sammy will be returning to the province in 2021, separate from his current tour.
The Comedian claimed responsibility for the Maxime Bernier parody and shared several photos of the billboards on his Facebook page, saying "Yes! It's real!" along with a Canada flag emoji.

In the clip, he jokes he was "not outraged that [Trudeau] he did it. I’m outraged at the level of brown that he went to." And goes on to question how much paint Trudeau had to use. He finishes the bit, however, by saying "the guy apologized, let it go!"
