  Mom of boy killed in Coquitlam says she warned RCMP his father was dangerous The mother of an eight-year-old boy killed in a homicide in Coquitlam this week says she told police her estranged husband was dangerous and owned multiple guns. Oscar Taitinger was found dead on Monday afternoon alongside the body of his 40-year-old father, Mark. Investigators have released very few details about what happened, but say they are not looking for any suspects in Oscar's death.The boy's mother, Nicole Taitinger, told CBC she filed a police report about Mark in September, just 11 days after leaving him. She alleged he owned guns and she was worried about the safety of their three sons.

A 41-year-old man is in custody after Winnipeg police found 73 guns along with thousands of rounds of ammunition at his St Boniface home.

Police said they were tipped off by the Canadian Border Service Agency in July when a silencer headed for Winnipeg from China was intercepted in the mail.

Officers raided a house on Almond Bay Oct. 16 and found a massive stash of guns, ammunition, body armour, and explosives.

The weapons alone have an estimated value of around $300,000, police said.

Andrew Michael Krywonizka is facing a laundry list of charges, including 26 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

He was detained in custody.
