  Highway 15 in Montreal partially closed after crash sends 4 people to hospital Police said the incident happened around 7: 00 p.m. on the Décarie near Upper Lachine. In a statement, the SQ said that one of the cars lost control on the highway and hit the second car. The driver in one of the cars was not hurt. But the four occupants in the second vehicle had to be transported to hospital. Provincial police are meeting with witnesses. Accident reconstruction experts are on the scene in order to determine what caused the accident.

After a conflict erupted between two motorists — on Highway 40's service road in the borough of St. Leonard — one drove parallel to the other's moving vehicle and opened fire, according to Montreal police spokesperson Const. Caroline Chèvrefils. 

The shooting occurred at about 1:40 p.m. ET, just before the eastbound exit for Langelier Boulevard. The suspect fled the scene.

MONTREAL — The driver of a delivery van was shot on the service road of a busy Montreal highway today in what police describe as an apparent case of road rage . Montreal police say they received a call at about 1: 40 p.m. concerning a dispute that had degenerated between two motorists.

Police say the victim, who was driving a delivery van, had at least one upper-body injury. Another motorist stopped to offer assistance, helping him get to a nearby police station, Radio-Canada has learned.

The victim was conscious when transported to Sacré-Coeur Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Chèvrefils said.

He was driving a van for Monsieur Livre-Tout, a delivery company based in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que.

There is no description of a suspect at this time, but police will review traffic cameras and security cameras of nearby businesses as they investigate, Radio-Canada reports.

A section of Highway 40's service road was closed as police conducted an investigation, but it has since been re-opened.
