Officers were called to the scene at Gilmour Street at about 7:30 Wednesday morning amid reports of multiple gun shots. They found several people injured. Paramedics said three people were taken to hospital in serious condition."The scene at Gilmour Street has been secured," police said in a statement. "This is not considered an active shooter situation, but the suspect remains at large and is not in custody."More coming.

At least one person has died after a car ploughed into pedestrians , with reports of shots having been fired in the Australian city of Melbourne on Friday. -

BARRIE, Ont. — Police in Barrie, Ont., say one person is dead and another is seriously injured after they were hit by snowplow tractor.

Police responded to the incident at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday.

They say the two pedestrians were hit as the tractor was making a turn at an intersection.

Investigators say a 26-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the other person was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

They said the driver was also sent to hospital to be treated for shock.

Police are still investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or people with dashcam footage to come forward.

Toronto police have identified a man killed in a triple shooting in Scarborough on Saturday night. Stephon Kelly, 28, of Toronto, died in the area of Markham and Kingston roads at about 9 p.m., police said in a news release on Sunday. Police said Kelly suffered one gunshot wound.Kelly is Toronto's sixth homicide victim of the year. Police have not released his photo. According to police, a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the shooting.
