B.C.’s health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, says the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in British Columbia has grown to 348 with the addition of 77 new cases announced Thursday.

There were no new fatalities to report, so the provincial death toll from COVID-19 continues to stand at eight.

Henry said there are 22 people are being treated in hospital with 10 in intensive care.

Six British Columbians diagnosed with COVID-10 have recovered.

On Thursday, Henry said the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in British Columbia had grown to 271 with the addition of 40 new cases.

Henry also announced one more death, linked to the outbreak at the Lynn Valley Care Centre in North Vancouver, bringing the provincial COVID-19 death toll to eight.

It’s the seventh death associated with the Lynn Valley Care Centre.
