The trial scheduled for Monday of Karim Tabbou, a figure in the protest movement ("Hirak") in Algeria, has been postponed again to June 29, spokesman for an association for the defense of detained.

Leader of a small unregistered opposition party, the Democratic and Social Union (UDS), his portrait was regularly brandished during the weekly "Hirak" marches and he became the symbol of the Algerian protest movement on the scene international.

In a press release, the "Save Karim Tabbou" support committee, launched on April 25 and which brings together intellectuals and human rights activists from the Algerian diaspora, called for his "immediate and unconditional release" on Monday.
